Adventure Guides
Lead guests on unforgettable excursions like kayaking, hiking, fishing, and bear viewing. Share your love of Alaska’s wilderness and ensure safety, engagement, and adventure for all participants.
Responsibilities:
Guide small groups through various activities while providing expert knowledge.
Conduct safety briefings and ensure all gear is in top condition.
Share insights about local wildlife, history, and geography.
Qualifications:
Experience in outdoor guiding, with knowledge of Alaska’s flora and fauna.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Wilderness first aid certification (or ability to obtain before start date).
Boat Captain (6-Pack Certified)
Take the helm and give guests a memorable water adventure in the stunning waters surrounding the lodge.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate 6-pack vessels for fishing trips, wildlife viewing, or transport.
Conduct safety briefings and ensure all passengers have a secure and enjoyable experience.
Maintain vessels, ensure compliance with maritime regulations, and address any maintenance issues.
Qualifications:
Valid USCG 6-pack license (OUPV).
Boating experience in Alaskan waters preferred.
Strong customer service skills and safety awareness.
Bartender
Serve up signature cocktails and Alaskan-inspired beverages to our guests in our upscale 96-seat restaurant and bar.
Responsibilities:
Craft high-quality cocktails, pour drinks, and provide exceptional bar service.
Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area.
Interact with guests, provide recommendations, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience required.
Knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, and wine.
Outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality.
Office Staff/Phone Host
Be the first point of contact for guests, whether over the phone or in person, and help create a seamless, welcoming experience from the moment they connect with us.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and assist with reservations for lodging, dining, and activities.
Greet restaurant guests, confirm reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements.
Provide information about lodge amenities, restaurant menus, and local activities.
Assist with administrative tasks to support lodge operations.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Previous experience in hospitality, reception, or customer service is a plus.
Proficient with basic computer systems and reservation software (or willingness to learn).
Servers
Be the face of our restaurant and bar, delivering exceptional dining experiences. From local seafood to handcrafted cocktails, we showcase the best of Alaska’s flavors.
Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, attentive service to guests in a fine-dining setting.
Share menu knowledge and recommend dishes, wine, and cocktails.
Maintain a clean, organized dining space.
Qualifications:
Prior serving experience in upscale or casual dining.
Strong customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Housekeepers
Help maintain the luxury and comfort of Odyssey Lodge’s accommodations by ensuring a spotless, inviting environment for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare guest rooms, public spaces, and wellness center facilities.
Operate lodge laundry to wash, dry and fold linens.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens.
Report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
Attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Previous housekeeping experience is a plus, but we are willing to train enthusiastic individuals!
